Daily Life, Georgia

Fall is here…

Somehow the months have passed by, and it’s now October. September was a very busy month, and I took an unintended blogging break. We have been here in Georgia for six months now, but it feels like so much longer. Autumn has always been my favorite season, and October, my favorite month.

It’s been such an experience to see all of the seasons changing over the past half-year. Autumn has really snuck up on me once again, and once again, I feel unprepared. The leaves are starting to change colors and fall right before my eyes, something I have never really seen before living in South Florida my whole life. When I walk to the bus stop every day with William, we find leaves of all different colors as we wait for Zachary’s bus to come. It’s so beautiful and amazing to see the seasons change.

Being here in North Georgia, where we can actually experience the season, there’s so much that we can do, compared to Florida, to make the autumn special. I don’t even know where to start!

Last year, I made a fall bucket list. Here are a few things I would like to try to do this year. Some will be fun to do with the kids, some with Adrian, and some by myself.

Decorate!!

Visit a pumpkin patch and take photos with the boys

Enjoy a fall hike

Visit a u-pick

See the leaves change color at a GA state park

Enjoy as many pumpkin-related food items as possible… mmm!

Visit a farmer’s market

Make chili!

Visit a winery in Dahlonega with Adrian

Enjoy more bike rides in the cooler weather

Participate in Orangetheory’s “Hell Week” and earn my t-shirt! (wished I’d done it last year!)

What do you have on your to-do list for this fall?
