Our First 4th of July as a Family of 4!

Every year on the 4th of July, we go to the City of Tamarac‘s fireworks festivities! Not only is it fun to have fireworks each year on our wedding anniversary, it is a great way to celebrate Independence Day. There is live music, food trucks, activities for the kids, and of course, fireworks.

We love seeing the fireworks every year, and ever since last year (Adrian took Z by himself since I was at home with new Baby William), Zachary has been totally stoked for this year’s event. We took the kids in the jogging wagon and enjoyed a walk down to the city Sportsplex (only about 3/4 of a mile from home), found our spot, and waited for the fireworks. Adrian brought some glow sticks, which Zachary and William both loved.

I grabbed this shot with my iPhone of the four of us enjoying our first 4th of July outing as a family of four. Yes, we were a family of 4 last year, but Baby Will and I weren’t able to go to the park with Adrian and Zachary, so this year was special for me since we were all together enjoying the festivities!

The photo is a little blurry, but it’s okay — we were having so much fun. I love that it shows the movement and energy of the evening. We had such a great time and can’t wait until next year!

Me and @explorerziem with the littles last night seeing fireworks. So much fun! #pictapgo_app #latergram #july4th
