Pic of the week: Preschool Petting Zoo!

I’m excited to share the featured images for this week! Last week Zachary’s school had a petting zoo and then on another day they did pony rides. If you’re a Facebook friend you probably saw these already, but there are a few additional photos not on FB, so I hope you’ll check it out again 🙂

This event was all orchestrated through Old Macdonalds Farm in Hollywood, FL (who has a very outdated website unfortunately). Zachary loved having the opportunity to feed and pet the baby goats, donkey, bunnies, llama, etc, and absolutely loved riding on the “horsie” which was actually a Shetland Pony mix.

Here are some of the baby animals from the petting zoo – a goat, piglet, and chicken:

The kids were given the opportunity to brush the animals. Zachary is very used to petting Maya at home, so he really enjoyed using the brush on the baby goat. He was so happy!

Then, the children were allowed to hold bowls of food to feed the goats, donkey, and llama. Zachary was so good and was extremely thrilled that the baby goat was eating from his bowl!

A few days later, they came back to do pony rides for the children. Here is Zachary on his pony. How cute! I love the second picture where you can really see the smile on his face. He was having a blast! I’m happy that he loves animals of all types. This was a very fun experience for him.
