ShakeItPhoto is an awesome “iphonearoid” or “fauxlaroid” app which costs only 99 cents. It produces great polaroid-camera like results. You can either use it on photos you have taken previously (which is what I did for the images below), or you can take a new image right from the app and use it.
If you want you can shake it yourself to make the photos show up faster, but you can also turn on faster shaking mode and the images will show up without shaking. There are also fun sound effects to simulate the polaroid effect. The value in this app is fantastic considering it’s less than a buck, and the results look fairly authentic.
This is a pretty neat app, and it’s fun to fauxlaroid your pics to make them look more interesting and fun. I have some iPhone photos that look a lot more interesting now that they’ve been fauxlaroided! For some reason I don’t use ShakeItPhoto as much as I use some of the other apps, but I do enjoy it and will be using it more often. One thing I like about the app is that it uses the functions of the regular iPhone camera, rather than its own functions, so if you want to take a self-portrait, you can. Some of the other photo apps don’t have this feature available.
