it’s windy outside and I can hear my windchimes jingling outside my window… I love hearing my windchimes. it makes me think that autumn is coming. my favorite season!

this morning I got to sleep in until 11:30am! I can’t remember the last time I slept so late, but it felt wonderful. Adrian and I went out for dinner (sushi) and a movie (Inglourious Basterds) last night and had a fantastic time. we’ve both been working so hard that we haven’t had a night to ourselves to really relax, either. it was nice not to worry about the baby, who was having a good time at Grandma & Grandpa’s house…. and just enjoy some time together.

This afternoon Zachary and I are going to our little friend Lynda’s first birthday party! Lynda’s mommy Rachael & I went to high school together, lost touch, and reconnected when we were pregnant. I did her maternity photos and Lynda’s  newborn pictures. I just can’t believe that Lynda is already a year old…. and that means Zachary will be a year soon, too. Time goes by too quickly.

The autumn is definitely my favorite time of year but I suppose now it will be a little bittersweet for me each year as it means that my little boy will be a year older.
