Adrian and I last visited Butterfly World back in 2002, when we were still dating. However, I’d really love to go back again!

Butterfly World is a South Florida “staple” and an awesome activity for families. Zachary loves insects, birds, animals, and plants, so I think it’d be a lot of fun to take him. The aviary is located at Tradewinds Park in Coconut Creek, and they even offer a picnic area right outside the entrance on the park grounds. How fun would that be? They have a coupon you can download online, so I may be putting that to good use soon!

Here’s a butterfly that I photographed at Butterfly World way back in December 2002. I was shooting with an old Point & Shoot camera, the Canon PowerShot S20! It may not have been a pro camera, but I still managed to take a decent picture! 🙂
