It’s been 10 days since I last posted, and pretty much that long since we have all been sick!

I had the WORST stomach virus that I have ever experienced. Adrian caught the flu. Zachary has a residual cough from a virus a few weeks ago. William had a cold, which went away, and then a day after being fever-free, he came down with an ear infection. 🙁

So, it hasn’t been the most particularly fun February.

This is a picture I took a few nights ago when Will was in the throes of ear infection pain, and I was trying to distract him at 1:30am by watching Jake and the Neverland Pirates. I actually thought he was just teething badly, but realized in the morning when he woke with a(nother) fever that we needed to head over to his pediatrician. In the pic, he is laying on my lap and holding my hand. My poor sick baby!

Life is about to get a little more cheery though, as my parents are coming home this evening from a wonderful vacation they took to Japan. We have missed them so much and can’t wait to see them! Tomorrow is Valentine’s Day, and the kids actually have off of school due to a teacher work day. I have lots of wonderful treats for them and am looking forward to seeing their happy faces when they wake up and see their Valentine’s gifts.

Although I’m second-shooting a wedding on Saturday, there’s another day off of school on Monday for President’s Day, so hopefully this will be a restful weekend, especially for my kiddos, so that they can get back to being healthy, and we can start to really enjoy 2014.
